Healing Happens in Connection

Groups, Workshops & Community Programs

At Illuminate, we believe healing is strengthened through connection with others who share similar experiences.

Our groups and workshops create opportunities to build skills, gain support, foster meaningful relationships, and experience growth in a safe and welcoming environment.

Offerings change throughout the year based on clinician availability, community needs, and areas of specialty. Programs may include therapeutic groups, skills-based workshops, parent and caregiver education, neurodivergent-affirming programs, and other opportunities for connection and learning.

Trauma Interpersonal Process Group

Connection, Safety & Relational Healing

Trauma can shape the way we experience ourselves, relationships, trust, safety, and connection with others. This interpersonal process group offers a supportive space for adults with trauma histories to explore how past experiences may continue to show up in present-day relationships.

Rather than focusing on retelling or processing traumatic events in detail, the group uses the relationships and interactions that develop within the group to build awareness, practice new ways of connecting, and explore patterns related to trust, boundaries, vulnerability, communication, and emotional safety.

This group may support adults who want to:

  • Understand how trauma impacts relationships

  • Explore patterns of connection and disconnection

  • Build greater awareness of triggers and relational responses

  • Practice boundaries and self-advocacy

  • Explore trust and vulnerability

  • Practice expressing emotions and needs

  • Give and receive supportive interpersonal feedback

  • Build greater comfort with connection

  • Reduce isolation and shame

  • Experience healthier relational patterns

This is a trauma-informed interpersonal process group rather than a trauma-processing intensive. Participants will not be expected to share detailed trauma experiences. A brief consultation is required before joining to help determine whether the group is an appropriate fit.
